Minutes: 3/17/08 meeting

Minutes from 3/3/08 accepted with minor changes

New Business

Michael Mangin brought a motion before the committee to rename Hist 39E History of England Hisory 9 and request baccaulaureate credit for the course which does not have a CSU parallel course. The motion was approved.

Jay brought a motion to make unit changes to the certificates of acheivement passed at the 3/308 meeting. The motion passed.

A proposal to change the Liberal Arts and Sciences degree proposal that was approved at the 3/3/08 meeting was made. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided to only make the unit change and a minor parenthetical addition.

A proposal to make transferable AS degrees for some science degrees was brought before the council. The concern that the degrees should be AA and not AS degrees was brought up. The proposal was tabled.
