I enjoy travel, hiking, and photography.
To the left is a photo of Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, Ayutthaya, Thailand.  The United Nations Initiative "Friends of World Heritage" is using it in outreach materials.  The foundation is dedicated to promoting conservation and sustainable tourism in World Heritage sites, and to raising funds in order to support sustainable community development in and around such sites.

<>I also enjoy writing, reading, playing games, and all sorts of artwork. The drawing to the right is taken from an illustration of a Philippine folk tale about a monkey, a deer, and a turtle who defeat a demon by pretending that a typhoon is coming. To view the entire picture as well as some of my other artwork, click here.

A picture of our daughter, Taliana Yu Ling.  She loves drawing, reading books, imitating animal noises, swinging, dancing, and playing in the sand.  She also likes smelling just about every flower she sees--not just the roses!  And she currently enjoys collecting rocks in her pockets.  Being her mother is definitely one of my favorite things right now!

To the right is a photograph I took of the rice terraces in Banaue, Philippines. The towering terraces (some as high as 4,920 feet!!!) were carved into the mountainsides by the Ifugao 2,000 to 3,000 years ago.  They are beautiful, but it takes a lot of work to maintain them!
