Frequently Asked Questions

General introductory information for prospective Cabrillo students can be found in the New Students area of the college website. It is highly recommended that prospective students meet with a Counselor before applying to any of the Allied Health occupational programs.

1. Can I use prerequisite courses in progress?

No, except in Radiologic Technology; all other prerequisite courses must be completed by the time of application. Sealed transcripts must be included with the application.

2. Can I use prerequisite courses from other schools?

Yes, if the school is accredited and you can substantiate this with an official transcript. We suggest you make an appointment with a counselor prior to application to verify coursework.

3. Do I have to take the prerequisite courses at Cabrillo College?

No, see above. There is no disadvantage to taking your prerequisite courses at another college.
