General introductory information for prospective
Cabrillo students can be found in the New
Students area of the college website. It is
highly recommended that prospective students meet with a Counselor before applying to any of the Allied Health occupational programs.
1. Can I use prerequisite courses in progress?
No, except in Radiologic Technology; all other
prerequisite courses must be completed by the time of application.
Sealed transcripts must be included with the application.
2. Can I use prerequisite courses from other schools?
Yes, if the school is accredited and you can substantiate
this with an official transcript. We suggest you make an appointment
with a counselor prior to application to verify coursework.
3. Do I have to take the prerequisite courses at Cabrillo College?
No, see above. There is no disadvantage to taking
your prerequisite courses at another college.
4. How do quarter units convert to semester units?
To convert quarter units to semester units, divide
quarter units by 1.5; thus, 45 quarter units = 30 semester units.
5. How do I request an application to Cabrillo College?
See the New
Students area of the college website.
6. When can I apply to the program I want to get
in to?
Each program establishes deadlines. Check each
program for detailed application information.
7. Do I need to be a resident?
No.
8. When do programs begin?
Programs that require applications, such as Radiologic
Technology, Nursing, and Dental Hygiene being in the Fall semester
of the academic year (usually late
August or early September)
