Participate in the excitement and focused work on the archaeology of California's Coast while you prepare for professional level employment in Archaeology/Cultural Resource Management.
An Introduction to Archaeology in a prerequisite for all Arche courses. Arche 2 is a prerequisite for Arche 4. Preference for Arche 2 and 4 may be given to those taking Arche 3 in the Spring of 2007. There is a non-refundable materials and tools fee of $300.00 to be sent in with your Application Form to gain a spot on the list of who are allowed to register during the registration for the 2008 Summer classes. All classes can be taken twice.
Exact costs have yet to be determined. The legislature has determined that for any term or intersession beginning on or after January 1, 2007, a community college district may charge an enrollment fee of $20 per semester unit. Each class Arche 2, 4, and 5 is 3 units so would cost $60.00 each class plus certain mandatory fees, parking fees (or bus pass) that is likely $20.00 (plus or minus). Out of State residence fees have yet to be determined but last year were $190.00 per unit plus mandatory fees. Passage of Prop. 92 in February of 2008 would reduce fees to $15 / unit as well as do other positive actions for the Community College systems.
