When is registration, and how do I sign up?
All players and teams may register beginning Jan 5 for the Spring 2006 season. Registration remains open until all divisions are filled. For details click on How to Sign Up

What division levels do you offer?

When does the Spring season start?
The 2006 league begins on March 12, and ends on May 19. For details click on Dates and Schedules

Do all the youth and adult teams play on Sunday?

Yes, all the games will be played on Sundays during 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

How much does it cost to play into the league?

$65.00 per player. For details click on League Fees

Will my child play in every game?

Yes, the coach must play every child equally in every game.

How many substitutions a coach can make during the game?

A coach can make unlimited substitutions on a fly.

What is the criteria for accepting teams into the league?
Teams are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, as space allows. All completed  registrations need to be submitted by coach/manager asap.

How do I know if I’ve been accepted into the league?
Once you have registered, after review you will be notified via-email of your admission status into the league.

How are the teams formed?
The league does not form or place players. Coaches, parents and players have the freedom to make their own team.

 

How many players can be in the roster?

A team can have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 15 players per roster.

 

Can I add or release a player once the league started?

Yes. However, the roster cannot exceed 15 players.

 

Can a player transfer to a new team?
No.

 

How many player do a team need to start and end a game?

A minimum of 5.

Can I play on two teams in the same division?
No.

 

Can I play on two different divisions?

Yes, you can if your age allows it. For example, a player can participate on the men's open division and on the men's over 30 division if he qualifies for it.

When are the make up dates?

There are no make up dates, we play rain or shine.

Will the league provide uniforms?
No, each team is responsible to buy their own uniforms.

Can names of players or sponsors allowed on jerseys?

Yes. Names of players or sponsors are allowed on jerseys.

 

Will the games be played on the same field all season?

Yes, all games are played at Cabrillo College Carl Conelly Stadium, synthetic grass field.

Can we practice with our team during the week?

Yes, you can but it is the coach/manager responsibility to arrange weekly practice times and locations for your team. 

Can we use Cabrillo College fields if our team decide to practice during the week?

No, you cannot use the Cabrillo fields facilities for these activities using the league umbrella. The fees registration/ release form covers only the activities on Sundays between March 12 and May 19, 2006.

Do I need special equipment for games?
Safety eyewear is not mandatory, but plastic lenses are strongly recommended. Headgears are not mandatory but a player can wear it if he wants to.

Are Shin guards are mandatory?

Yes. Shin guards are mandatory and they must be worn under socks at all games.

What type of shoes should a player wear during a game?

We strongly encourages the use of proper soccer cleats: metal cleats are banned.

 

Can I wear jewelry during the game?

All jewelry (including pierced earings) must be removed according to FIFA rules. Long hair may be tiedback with soft “scrunchies” – hard clips and accessories are not allowed.
