"Getting Started" Checklist:
- Read Course Description and Requirements <--Click here!
- Attend an Orientation
- Scheduled Orientation: (Preferred Method) See the CABT Department's orientation schedule
for open-entry courses. Your orientation is your only scheduled class meeting, although you will need to visit the campus
at least a few times to verify progress and turn in homework. If you are unable to attend one of our orientations or are
registering after the first week of class, please e-mail your instructor at cabt@cabrillo.edu or phone (831)
479-6277 to make an individual appointment.
- Data Entry Software: If you have purchased the book, CABT staff can copy the software you need
onto a floppy disk or USB memory stick for you to use on your home PC. The software works only on DOS or Windows computers, not Macintosh. It does not run on 64-bit versions of the Vista operating system.
- Fill out the "Student Progress Sheet" handed out at the orientation. Turn it in to your instructor.

Purchase Textbook
- Cabrillo College Bookstore <--Click for hours and information
- Read the first three chapters in your textbook and complete the three open-book quizzes (pick these up from your instructor). After completing the quizzes,
check your answers with the answer key in the CTC. Quizzes should be turned in with 100% accuracy.
