All three certifications (LA, STC, N20/02) must be completed concurrently. Participants must have an active dental hygiene license from a US state or Canadian province, or have graduated from an approved DH program or currently enrolled in the final semester.

Course Format:

This course includes both online and in-person clinical competencies. The online modules require 22 hours of didactic study and made available to the participants one month prior to the on-site clinical portion of the course. Participants must have access to high-speed internet and the ability to download software programs such as Adobe PDF Reader, and Adobe Flash. Computers used should be equipped with a DVD or CDROM drive. All of the modules, quizzes and final exams must be completed and passed at a 75% level prior to the on-site clinical portion of the course. The clinical sessions of the course, 36 hours, are held on-site at the Cabrillo College Dental Hygiene Clinic, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA 95003.

The online portion of the course is made available to registered participants one month prior to the in-person clinical five-day session. Successful completion of the on-line exams are required to proceed onto the on-site clinical sessions which meet 8am-5pm daily.

Participants must provide the following:
