Quality assurance policy & procedure

Policy:
The Cabrillo Dental Hygiene Program has a quality assurance program to:

provide treatment that is patient-centered, focused on comprehensive care, and acknowledges the patients rights consistent with the law
advise patients of the scope of care available at this training clinic and refer out based on patient needs.
assess and identify treatment deficiencies in order to improve and maintain quality care

Procedure:
Chart audits are performed on a regular basis. The information from the chart audits is summarized and the outcomes are reviewed. The faculty will use the data to develop corrective measures (2/19/05)
