Selection Process

Cabrillo’s Dental Hygiene (DH) program has an Application/Selection Process that allows students to submit an application once all prerequisite courses have been completed.

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED YEAR 'ROUND.
THERE IS NO APPLICATION DEADLINE

Before applying to the Dental Hygiene Program it is highly recommended that all prospective applicants make an appointment with an academic counselor at Cabrillo. Please call the counseling department at 831-479-6274 to schedule an appointment with a designated Dental Hygiene Program Counselor.

Students accepted to our program will be placed on our wait list and will gain access to the program based on their wait list position. We estimate a wait of 1 to 2 years for those currently applying to the program once you have completed prerequisites and your application has been determined qualified by an evaluator.
