FACULTY
Curriculum Influences
Major influences of the DBA's curriculum include:
- Marcia Heiman's Learning to Learn Curriculum
Teaches students learning skills such as how to take good notes, prepare for exams, and ask good questions.
- Hewlett-Packard Lab's Product Development Process
Explains how knowledge-based businesses identify consumer needs.
- Current Research on Neuroplasticity
Indicates that positive experiences, such as concentration, can improve the structure of the brain.
Faculty Experiential Learning Institute (FELI)
In a FELI, instructors go through a condensed version of the same two-week Foundation Course which begins our semester-long program. This way, instructors and students already share a common experience and vocabulary when they begin the semester together. Attending a FELI is also an excellent way to get a taste of what the DBA is all about, and learn some new communication skills yourself.
