The courses below focus on areas of grammar that ESL students often request to study in more detail. Each course consists of approximately 22 hours of practice assignments on computer in the ESL lab and a final assessment of competency that includes a short writing sample. Students who require more time to master a topic, may take up to one semester to pass the module test. Half a unit credit is granted when the student has completed all of the required homework and is able to pass the final module test with a score of 80% or more. If you need additional practice, your teacher may assign the optional online exercises listed below or individual work in textbooks available in the lab. You will receive an orientation at the beginning of the course, but don't be afraid to talk to a tutor later if you need more assistance using the computer or help understanding a concept. That's what we are here for!
