Fall 2007 Thursday Evenings, 7:00 to 8:30 pm At the Cabrillo College Environmental Horticulture CenterRoom 5005, “Top of the Campus”Join us for this five lecture series on Water Use in the Landscape. Water is a critical natural resource that must be protected and used wisely. We will follow waters flow into our environment and see how it is used. Who is using the water and what are they using it for? Can you garden with limited water? Can you harvest the water that naturally falls on your property and use it later? What are the tools we can use to reduce your water application? And can this be done and still have all the coolest plants in your yard? The series of five lectures is $40 when purchased as a group; or $10 per lecture if attended individually. September 27th: The New Urban Watershed October 4th: Landscapes and the Water Industry October 18th: Rain Water Harvesting: Design and Integration for a Sustainable Landscape November 1st: Cool Plants for a Mediterranean Climate (Lynn Jackson Landscaping) November 15th: Irrigation Equipment and Overcoming Design Problems Please Note: Parking is free only in the designated spaces at the Horticulture facility. There is only a limit number of spots at the facility. Overflow parking on the lower campus is $2 (eight quarters).
