Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus, under the direction of Cheryl Anderson, is a 501©(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are associated with Cabrillo College in Aptos, California.
All concerts are underwritten by programming advertising sales, concert ticket sales, CD sales, and sponsorships of individual instrumentalists and soloists. Here are some of the ways you can support the chorus:
Students pay about $50 per semester to register. "Repeaters" pay about $1 for the same education. Choir members who wish to bridge this gap and help perpetuate the high level of work we do in the Choral Department are encouraged to make a tax deductible donation. The money could be used for many things: special programs, projects, guest artists, master classes, instrumentalists, scholarships, travel, program development and advertising, accompanist budget, just for starters. Donations can be mailed or done on-line.
The Chorus provides 8-1/2" x 11" glossy-paper concert programs free to concert-goers at each of our performances.
We offer advertising spaces in these programs from business-card size to full page. Interior advertising is black and white. The back cover is available in color. We believe music helps achieve success in society, success in school and learning, success in developing intelligence and success in life! Support live performance music in your community by advertising with us!
We gratefully acknowledge all "Donors" in our programs for all 8 concerts. Depending on your donation level, you may sponsor a musician, venue, composer, concert or season.
Your individual concert ticket or season subscription purchase helps us keep the music flowing in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties! Spread the word and get your friends to hear us with you. We're making music too special to miss!
For each of our concerts, we need volunteer ushers. In exchange for your ushering services, you get to attend the concert free of charge. We also need help at fundraising events. If you're interested in serving as a volunteer, please contact us!
