Nursing Wait List Students

Wait List Notifications

Emails which inform you of your wait list status were sent on 9/25/18. Wait List Intent Forms are not required for the fall notification. If you have any questions, please email Nursing.

The next wait list status notifications will be sent via email in March 2019. Be sure to contact us if you change your email address. Wait List Intent Forms are required only during the March notification. The March 2018 deadline to submit forms was 3/22/18 at 4:00 PM. Students who did not submit the form have been removed from the wait list.

Wait list status notifications are emailed each year in March and again in late September or early October. The Wait List Intent Form is required to be submitted only during the March notification period. Failure to submit the Wait List Intent Form by the March deadline will result in removal from the wait list, no exceptions.

During the fall notification, wait list students will see their wait list number reduced more significantly than during the March notification.  With the March notifications, the wait list students who have been offered seats for entry in fall and spring will retain their number and remain on the wait list until closer to the start of their entry.

General Wait List Information

Please contact Nursing if you would like to be removed from our wait list or to update your contact information. You may also update your contact information by using the Contact Info Update Form.

Those who have been on our wait list may choose to apply via multicriteria and then be removed from the wait list. We are no longer adding to the wait list. The next multicriteria application period will begin January 15, 2019 through February 15, 2019 for fall 2019 and spring 2020 entry.

The Cabrillo College Nursing Program no longer places students on a wait list. Class selection for the program will be made up of students entering from the Multicriteria Screening Process and from students who already have a spot on the wait list; with 50% taken from each group.
Please review the Wait List Admission Policy below.

Wait Time

Given significant life events not all of those on our wait list choose to start our program. This allows others on the wait list to move up, but the wait time is unpredictable. As of spring 2016, approximately half of each semester’s cohort will be admitted from the wait list, and the other half from the Multicriteria Screening Process.
