Attention All Nursing Wait List Students
All students currently on the wait list were emailed on March 2, 2015 with their current wait list number. Emails were sent to the email address on file in the Nursing Department as of 2/27/15.
Wait listed students were required to submit a Wait List Intent Form which was due by 4:00 PM 3/23/15. The Wait List Intent Form link is no longer active. The deadline to respond is closed as of 4:00PM 3/23/15.
Please be sure you have notified Cabrillo Nursing with any email address changes. You must also make the change in your WebAdvisor account.
Please read the following information for key changes to our application process.
Effective spring 2015, the Cabrillo College Nursing Program is transitioning to a more effective application known as the Multi-Criteria Screening Process (MCSP). This allows applicants to declare their strengths and background more thoroughly. Please go the Multi-Criteria Screening link for specifics. Applications to the generic ADN program for the spring 2016 semester will be accepted beginning May 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015.
Class selection for the program will be determined based on new applicants from the MCSP and from students entering from the wait list.
Those who have been on our wait list may choose to apply via MCSP or remain on the wait list. Those with numbers up to 150 (as of the March 2, 2015 notification only) may apply via MCSP while remaining on the wait list. Anyone with a higher number (over 150) may apply via MCSP and then be removed from the wait list. We will no longer be adding to the wait list.
As of spring 2016, approximately half of each semester’s cohort will be admitted from the wait list, and the other half from MCSP.
For a high demand program, nursing faculty are finding that the multi-criteria application contributes to a positive impact on student success.

GENERAL WAIT LIST INFORMATION
The Nursing Program currently admits every semester in spring and fall. We rigorously control the wait list based exclusively on your application postmark. In order to maintain your position on our wait list, every March all wait listed students must submit an online Wait List Intent Form. Instructions and the link to the form will be posted on the website on March 1, 2016 and sent in an email. Failure to submit Wait List Intent Forms by the required due date will result in your removal from the wait list.
While on the wait list, maintaining accurate contact information is essential. It is imperative that you notify the Nursing Program Office in writing of any changes to your mailing address, phone number, and email. Updating your information on your WebAdvisor profile does not update the Nursing database so please be sure to update both. To notify the Nursing Program follow this link Contact Info Update Form. Changes are also accepted by email to email@example.com or via postal mail to Cabrillo College Nursing Program, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA, 95003. Contact info updates will not be accepted over the phone. Note: If we are unable to reach you by phone, email or postal mail, you will be removed from the wait list.
Given significant life events not all of those on our wait list choose to start our program. This allows others on the wait list to move up, but the wait time is unpredictable.
HOW TO USE YOUR TIME ON THE WAIT LIST PRODUCTIVELY
While waiting for admission to the program, please check the Cabrillo Nursing Program web page regularly for information about how to use your time on the wait list productively. We post valuable information regarding events and opportunities.
