Students thoroughly enjoyed the class. And, it has been shown in medical research that drumming definitely has therapeutic effects.
Drumming is a complex composite intervention with the potential to modulate specific neuroendocrine and neuroimmune parameters. There are currently over 20 peer-reviewed articles on drumming listed in MedLine and over 1000 citations on music therapy.
