The Stroke and Disability Learning Center program offers learning activities for students with physical disabilities to enable them to meet a variety of educational goals.
The program is appropriate for those who have just recently completed medical rehabilitation as well as for those who have enduring physical challenges. Your doctor, counselor, social worker or physical therapist may refer you, or you may self-refer.
The Center is an educational learning laboratory where students enroll to gain strength, acquire skills and find support to live, learn, work and contribute in the community. The Center is not a respite center or drop-in center, nor does it replace individual therapy.
In order to benefit from the program, students must be able to work in a group setting and follow directions. Students requiring individual supervision for physical care needs may be asked to bring a personal caregiver.
