Intensive Spanish Language

Culture Immersion Program

Buenos Aires and Bariloche in Patagonia

Jan. 3-29, Five Transferable Units (4UC, 5CSU)

(January is mid-summer in Argentina)


Price includes:

  • Round trip int'l airfare from San Jose to Buenos Aires.
  • Round trip domestic airfare from Buenos Aires to Bariloche in Patagonia.
  • 5 days in Buenos Aires, 20 days in Bariloche.
  • Room and half board with an Argentine family in Bariloche.
  • Accommodations in student residence in Buenos Aires.
  • Intensive Spanish language classes.
  • Guided cultural activities (Museo de Evita Perón, Caminito, Tango lessons).
  • Lecture with "Madres de Plaza de Mayo", lecture on recent Argentina economy and Latin American Art.

Participants will attend classes at Universidad FASTA in Bariloche, the “Vail” of South America, on the south shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi in Patagonia, a mere two hours from Chile. This program is tailored to your language level by offering classes of no more than six students. To provide a continuous language-learning experience, families host our students in Bariloche, and the cultural sites in Patagonia, and Buenos Aires provide the context for learning about the culture and history of Argentina .
