A Taste of Bali: A Culinary Excursion in Paradise

Join Cabriilo Culinary Arts Instructor and Chef, Joseph Schultz, and tour organizer Made Surya, for a culinary excursion of Bali, including cooking classes and demonstrations, physical recreation in a paradise setting, walks through the coffee, cacao, and clove plantations, tours of coffee and soy sauce factories, and visits to aboriginal villages.

 

Price includes round-trip airfare from San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York and includes 18 nights accommodations in Munduk Mountain Resort, Sanur and Candi Dasa Beach, and in Ubud, Bali's Cultural Center. Full breakfasts and one other meal are included almost every day. Seminars in Indonesian language, local customs, Bali Hinduism, caste and social systems, offerings and temples, Indonesian history and politics, farming and irrigation systems, local dining customs and more will be offered along with 9 cooking classes in making local traditional dishes. The group will attend 3 live theatre performances, visit important temples and the fruit and flower market, as well as Tenganan aboriginal village, royal palaces, family homes, and artist's compounds.
