The Cabrillo College Foundation is pleased to welcome three new board of directors members:


Maria Esther C. Rodriguez - Being born and raised in the Bay Area, I truly appreciate and value the diversity and beauty of California and the Central Coast. My family roots are from Michoacán, Mexico with its rich culture and many traditions. Since 2003, my husband and I have been involved with non-profit groups raising funds for and awareness about indigenous groups, primarily in Mexico. I attended Santa Clara and then San Jose State University, earning a degree in Civil Engineering: focused in Construction and Transportation. I have been working in the Public Works field since 1990, currently in the City of Watsonville.




Gun Ruder - Gun (Gunlek) Ruder is Vice President and CEO of S. Martinelli & Company. He was formerly the Regional Director for the West/Southwest region of Canyon Agassi and President of Agassi Graf Holdings which provides business management services for Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf. In that role, he was responsible for direct investments, real estate development and financial management for the overall business including oversight of the Andre Agassi College Prep Academy as the Andre Agassi Foundation Finance Committee Chair. Prior to AGH, Gun worked for MBNA as a senior member of its internal strategy group developing financial products for consumers and small businesses. Before joining MBNA, Gun was a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company in the financial services and private equity industries in New York City and worked in Tokyo, Japan for Nippon Steel managing large infrastructure development projects globally. Gun holds an MBA from Stanford University, and is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University.



Patty QuillinA graduate of Cornell University, Ms. Quillin is Past President of the the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History and previously served on the Santa Cruz County Children’s Commission.  She is an active community volunteer and is currently on the Board of the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County.  She and her husband, Reed Hastings, are local philanthropists and have signed the Giving Pledge created by Warren Buffet and Bill Gates.
