All of our donors can be proud that they have
made a difference in the lives of Cabrillo students, and Cabrillo
appreciates and acknowledges every gift. We offer special recognition
to donors who make significant contributions, including membership
in the President's Circle, membership
in the Heritiage Club, and Naming
Opportunities.
President's Circle
Donors who make an annual unrestricted gift
of $1,000 or more are included in the President's Circle, whose
members are considered special friends and supporters of Cabrillo.
When giving totals exceed $100,000 cumulatively, donors receive
lifetime membership in the President's Circle.
President Brian King invites President's Circle
members to several special events each year, including the President's
Holiday Reception, and the Cabrillo Stage summer musical theater
production. The Holiday Reception takes place in December and offers
donors the chance to meet Foundation Board members and Cabrillo
staff and faculty. For the Cabrillo Stage event, members are the
guests of President King at an evening performance of a Cabrillo
Stage summer musical, a reception before the performance, and a
back stage tour after the conclusion of the musical.
Heritage Club
Donors join the Heritage Club when they have included Cabrillo
College in their will. Though Cabrillo does not have to be told
of a bequest, it is useful for planning purposes to know that a
gift is anticipated, and it is often helpful to discuss with donors
in advance both the structuring of a gift and whether it will achieve
the donor's goals. Visit Remembering Cabrillo
in Your Will for complete information about bequest options.
Currently Cabrillo lists ninety-five members.
Naming Opportunities
Several Cabrillo donors have elected to take
advantage of naming opportunities that come with very significant
gifts. Cabrillo is currently engaged in renovation and construction
of facilities, which presents new options for naming a building
for a donor or someone the donor chooses to honor. For more information
about donor recognition contact Melinda Silverstein at (831) 479-6338,
or via
email.
