ABOUT CABRILLO COLLEGE FOUNDATION

Cabrillo College Foundation Background and Mission Contact Information Cabrillo College Foundation Board of Directors Cabrillo College Foundation Background and Mission The Cabrillo College Foundation was organized in 1962 when the College received a generous gift from Mr. and Mrs. Jo Jennings, who strongly believed in the philosophy of the community college. On August 11, 1965, the foundation became a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt corporation. The foundation’s mission is to operate for the advancement of education; to solicit and raise money for scholarships, facilities, equipment, research and education projects; to improve faculty teaching competence; to provide departmental support; and to otherwise provide aid supplementary to public tax dollars for the support and benefit of Cabrillo College. Local citizens, college staff, faculty and Cabrillo trustees serve on the 30+ member Foundation Board.	Melinda Silverstein Executive Director, Cabrillo College Foundation
