The Inter-Club Council, as an extension of the Student Senate and working with Student Affairs, oversees club activities that make Cabrillo College a vital and exciting place to attend.

All students are encouraged to get the most out of their college experience by participating in extracurricular activities while attending Cabrillo College. Joining a club is a way to enhance your college experience. Clubs are organized by students according to specialized fields of interest, academic majors, personal interest, or special service to the college or community.

 

 

Inter-Club Council (ICC)

ICC promotes interaction and cooperation between clubs, student senate and other student organizations.  All clubs are required to apoint an ICC representative to meet weekly in an all-club board meeting.

We are a chapter of the California community college honor society. Our purpose is to foster, promote, maintain, and recognize academic excellence on the Cabrillo College campus, and to perform services to the college and community, while emphasizing cultural, social, and enrichment experiences as an integral part of the college experience.

ASIAN CULTURE LANGUAGE CLUB                                   

As a club our focus is to provide a fun and social atmosphere for students who have interest in Asian Cultures and Languages. We strive to help educate and teach one another about the cultures in Asia, by holding events, and activities. Our club goal is to promote diversity at Cabrillo and also educate Cabrillo in the various rich cultures of Asia. BHAKTI YOGA                                                                    

Our purpose is to create a forum for students who are seeking inner fulfillment, are pursuing ontological truth, or are interested in learning more about the culture of ancient India. We want everyone to feel welcome to come and explore these subjects in a community of respectful and open-minded individuals.

BIKE COOPERATIVE                                                          

Mission Statement of the Cabrillo Bike Coop

  • To provide Cabrillo students and the surrounding community with the tools, space, and education to use bicycles as a means of sustainable, low-cost transportation.
  • To dramatically increase the number of students that ride bicycles to and from school.
  • To create a safe space for individuals of any age, gender, nationality, religion or social status to feel accepted, inspired and empowered.
  • To promote the larger goal of making the Cabrillo campus more sustainable.
  • To develop and maintain working relationships with organizations who hold similar values.
  • To support and encourage the health and well-being of Cabrillo students and the local community.

BLACK STUDENT UNION (BSU)

Our goal is to develop relationships with other African Americans on campus and to be heard and seen among our campus community.  We promote excellence and success with our fellow brothas and sistahs and strive to be of assistance to our community through different community outreaches. Our main goal is to promote, support and encourage academic success among African Americans.

The Cabrillo Student Art Association (CSAA)

The CSAA creates a platform for students to exhibit their work, hold various events,  support the arts, and draw attention to the artists in our region. With the collaboration of the Cabrillo Art Gallery long and short term student exhibitions, and art sales, will be held on campus in various venues, including SAC East & West. We sponsor a series of workshops, lectures, and films on campus.  Off campus we arrange field trips to art museums and galleries, as well as artists studios.  Our greater purpose is a donation program of art supplies for students needing the extra help.  This resource program will be accessed by students through a simple application administered by the CSAA.

GAMES & MEDIA ENTHUSIAST CLUB                                  

Our purpose is to provide a safe and relaxing place for Cabrillo Students to sit down and let go of the responsibility of full-time school. We do this by providing an accepting social environment as well as media in all forms.

IL DOLCE SUONO                                                               

Il Dolce Suono is a student-run ensemble of music majors that strive to bring choral excellence to the Santa Cruz Community and its surrounding counties. Each member is admitted to the club based on previous choral singing experience, musicianship, and their love for the choral art. Each ensemble member volunteers countless hours during rehearsals and performances. We try to have a specific focus on children and high school students to let them know that music doesn't end in high school but it gets better in college. Il Dolce Suono performs with the Cabrillo Youth Chorus on a regular basis and they hold their own Spring concert every Spring semester. Be sure to check us out on Facebook!

ORGANIZATION OF LATIN AMERICANS (OLA)                  

The Organization of Latin Americans has been a Cabrillo Club since 1973.  For the past 33 years OLA has been actively involved in providing educational, cultural and political support to all students at Cabrillo College. Our presence and work throughout the years has helped to bring about social change and contributed to the diversity of the Campus.

Our main purpose is to support and educate Cabrillo College students, faculty and staff about Latino issues, history, events and programs.  We believe that our education is the road to success and by helping ourselves and our fellow students we can make our educational experience here at Cabrillo easier and enjoyable.

Our main purpose is to offer an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors in Santa Cruz County.  We will endeavor to play games, sport and other recreational activities without the structured schedule of traditional league sports, so that we can focus on having fun instead of competition.  Also, we will strive to maintain respect and Eco-friendy use of our outdoor enviroment, so that those who come after us may enjoy the same activities and freedoms we do.

PERMACULTURE                                                                 

Cabrillo's Permaculture Club is designed to be an educational hub for students and community members interested in developing their skills as ecological gardeners with a focus on hands-on learning to prepare students to grow food themselves and to contribute to the food system as innovative problem solvers and as a catalyst for positive change in order to meet some of the many agricultural and environmental challenges facing food production in the 21st century. The clubs goal is to create the Permaculture Learning Center that will be a demonstration-learning site at the Cabrillo horticulture center managed by the Cabrillo Permaculture Club. The center will provide a full range of opportunities for student engagement in sustainable crop production and permaculture design techniques.

Our club objective is to emphasize and practice environmentally conscious principles of horticulture through group discussion and hands on learning. The purpose of the club is to be a visionary center for students that will provide tools for success and long-term sustainability.

SEAHAWK METAL ARTS CLUB

The goals of the Seahawk Metal Arts Club is to educate the Cabrillo College community about contemporary and traditional metal arts and jewelry. Purpose:
