Cabrillo Trustee Elected to Serve on State-wide Executive Board
Cabrillo College President Brian King extended his congratulations to Garcia. “Cabrillo is fortunate to be represented by someone as capable and dedicated as Rebecca at the state level,” he said.
Garcia is enthusiastic about serving another term on the CCCT Board.

The CCCT and the Chief Executive Officers of the California Community Colleges (CEOCCC) are the two major organizations that make up the Community College League of California, sharing a common mission, staff and fiscal resources.
“Rebecca Garcia’s election as 2nd Vice President by her peers is a recognition of her dedication, energy and forceful advocacy on behalf of all students serviced by our colleges,” said David Viar, Chief Executive Office of the Community College League of California.
The CCCT board meets six times each year to take action on education policy issues before the state Board of Governors and the legislature.
