Cabrillo College Wellness Fair Celebrates Health

APTOS, CA—The Cabrillo College Student Health Services annual Health and Wellness Fair will take place on Thursday, September 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center (Building 900), at the Aptos campus, located at 6500 Soquel Drive. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Part education and part celebration, the Health and Wellness Fair features entertainment, information, free samples, raffle prizes and numerous local health resources, all centered on improving the health and well-being of Cabrillo College students and community members.

The Health and Wellness Fair connects students and community members to information and local resources, including Planned Parenthood, the American Red Cross, Bike to Work, Defensa de Mujeres, Triangle Speakers, the Santa Cruz Hepatitis C Task Force, Suicide Prevention of the Central Coast, the Santa Cruz Women’s Health Center, the Cabrillo College Dental Hygiene Program, Cabrillo College Mental Health Counseling Program, and many other health and wellness agencies. In addition, fair-goers can learn about acupuncture and massage from the Five Branches Institute, watch a yoga demonstration, or test their nutrition knowledge with Community Bridges, 5-A-Day, and the Diabetes Health Center.

Cabrillo students are eligible to enter the Wellness Fair Raffle, with a grand prize of a cruiser bike from Trey’s True Wheels. Other raffle prizes include gift certificates to local eateries, t-shirts, jewelry, and other great prizes.
