Cabrillo College Will Host Countywide College and Career Night

APTOS, CA— College-bound Santa Cruz County students and their parents will have a chance to meet with representatives from over sixty public, private, and out-of-state colleges and universities at College & Career Night 2005, on Monday, November 7, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cabrillo College main campus, 6500 Soquel Drive in Aptos. Students and parents who want to get a head start on college planning are invited to attend. The event is open to the public and is free of charge—last year over four thousand people participated. Parking is available in all student lots, also free of charge.

College and university representatives will be on hand to answer questions beginning at 6 p.m. in the Gymnasium (Building 1100). Tours of the Cabrillo College campus will also be leaving from the Gymnasium lobby, starting at 5:30 p.m. and continuing through 7:00 p.m.

Instructors and career counselors will be speaking to students and parents about planning career paths from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., in the Robert E. Swenson Library (Building 1000) and the Student Center (Building 900). Upstairs in the Library, in room 1051, financial aid advisors will be leading workshops on how to apply for financial aid for community colleges and four-year colleges and universities, also from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 pm.  

The new Enrollment Services Center (Building 100) will also be open during College and Career Night. Services located in the Enrollment Services Center include Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, and the Career Center. Visitors to the Center can learn how to get started at Cabrillo College and ask questions about the application process.
