CABRILLO COLLEGE PRESIDENT’S CIRCLE TREATED TO A TROPICAL LUAU

Major donors to the President’s Circle were treated to a beautiful sunset Luau at the beautiful oceanfront home of Mary and Harry Blanchard on Wednesday night. Guests enjoyed the oceanview of the Monterey Bay with boat races, surfers, and dolphins as the backdrop. The evening included traditional Polynesian dance, music and a special Luau menu. Cabrillo College President, Brian King; Mike Allard, Erik Johnson, Fred McPherson, Bill Kelsay, Rowland Rebele, Kevin Rooney, and Kurt Kniffin were all invited on stage by the Polynesian dancers for a hula lesson.

The Blanchard’s hosted the event to recognize the many President’s Circle donors who contribute unrestricted funds for Cabrillo College, enabling the foundation to offer scholarships to students, provide support for student services, and educate the community’s workforce. Mary Blanchard, chair of President’s Circle for the past two years, and her committee raised a record setting $201,000.
