CabrilloArts Summer Workshops Wrap–Up with Multi-Medium Exhibit APTOS, CA—On Friday August 10, the Cabrillo College Gallery will host a one-day exhibit of student work which was created during this summer’s second session of the CabrilloArts Workshops. It will include art from such mediums as Solar Plate Prints (photography), Pit Fired Ceramics, Mural Painting, Wire Work and Automata, the Art of Animated Figures. Reception and exhibit is Friday August 10 from 4-6 pm. CabrilloArts 2007 Summer Workshops were filled to capacity this year as a bevy of professional and well-known artists from sculpture to music to dance, arrived to teach master classes in 4 different sessions. These included the likes of Tandy Beal teaching the master class “Imagination: Collaboration and Dance”; Stan Welsh and the art of Ceramic Heads; Juan Fuentes on Print Making; and “Music & Computers: Reason” a Master Class on composing music electronically, to name only a few. The acclaimed CabrilloArts Workshops provides an intensive learning environment that combines ten days of daily classes and labs with master teachers and experts, plus opportunities for socializing with colleagues. The Workshops are also becoming known as a destination learning opportunity for out-of-towners who want to spend two weeks in Santa Cruz and learn art techniques from masters of their crafts.
