Cabrillo Theatre Arts Opens It’s Doors to Teens With ‘Stage Door’ High School Workshop.
Saturday September 29, 9 – 4:30 pm at the Cabrillo College Theatre

APTOS, CA—On Saturday Sept. 29, the Cabrillo College Theatre Arts Department will host a one-day workshop for high school students, “Stage Door,” which will explore all aspects of theatre.

The all–day workshop, taught by Cabrillo faculty, promises students a great time learning new skills and techniques in theatre arts, as well as getting to know other students interested in theatre and sharing information.

Workshops are offered in the following areas:

  • Improvisation
  • Lighting
  • Set Design
  • Unarmed Combat
  • Design & Construction
  • Acting for the Camera
  • Dance for Musical Theatre
  • Comedy
  • Auditioning

Improvisation workshops will be led by visiting San Francisco actor Craig Neibaur, who teaches at Bay Area Theatre Sports  (BATS) one of the foremost American improv groups.

What: Stage Door: Cabrillo College Theatre Arts Department invites high school students for a one-day workshop learning improvisation, lighting, set design, costume design and construction, acting for the camera, dance, comedy and auditioning techniques.

When: Saturday September 29, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where: Cabrillo College Theatre, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA

Fee: $25 per student (Includes lunch and snacks)
