Cabrillo College Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee Solicits New Members

APTOS, CA – Committee members are being sought by Cabrillo College President Brian King to serve on the Cabrillo College Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. The committee is seeking applications of representatives who are: an active member of a business organization and representing the business community located in the District, an active member of a bona fide taxpayers’ organization, and at large members. Oversight committee members cannot be employees, officials, vendors, consultants, or contractors of Cabrillo College.

New members will be appointed by the Cabrillo Governing Board at its August meeting. Applications are due July 11, 2008 by 5:00 pm, and can be downloaded as a PDF here.. For application information, contact the Cabrillo College President’s Office at 831-479-6306.

The Cabrillo College Governing Board passed a resolution on April 4, 2004 establishing the independent citizens’ oversight committee. The committee is responsible for ensuring Cabrillo College’s financial accountability for projects funded by a $118 million general obligation bond passed by voters in March 2004.
