Cabrillo College’s Fall Horticulture Lecture Series
Rediscovering the Front Yard
Thursday Evenings, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Cabrillo College, Horticulture Center, Room 5005 at the “Top of the Campus”

Join us for this five lecture series on” Rediscovering the Front Yard.” Front yards can tell a lot about their residents. What does yours say about you? Are you a private person? Do you welcome neighbors? Are you using a small space to its maximum advantage with the least amount of inputs?

The series of five lectures is $40 when purchased as a series, or $10 per lecture if attended individually. Cabrillo “Friends of the Garden” member entrance is half price, Cabrillo horticulture volunteers attend free. All proceeds benefit the Horticulture Program.

September 25th: The Front Yard, Past, Present and Future

October 2nd: Designing Your Sustainable Front Yard
Speaker: Alrie Middlebrook, Middlebrook Gardens

October 16th: Designing an Edible Front Yard
Speaker: Lisa McAndrews, Horticulture Department, Cabrillo College

October 30th: Water Restrictions, Incentives and Conservation
Speaker: Roy Sikes, Water Conservation Specialist, Soquel Water District

November 13th: Succulents, the Ultimate Xeroscape Plants for the Front Yard
Speaker: Robin Stockwell, Owner, Succulent Gardens
