Center Master Plan Prospectus
Master planning is first and foremost a process of
coordinating the interests, needs and work plans of various constituent groups
on college campuses. The WCMP Prospectus refers to the how, when and what of the
plan. The prospectus is concerned mainly with the processes of the planning
activities.

ORGANIZATION
AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Luan (Planning and Research) and Rachel Mayo (
Watsonville

) co-chair the Steering Committee. Certain members on the committee shall form a
task force.
TIMELINES/MILESTONES
- Finalizing
the prospectus by June 2002
- Starting
September, the Steering Committee will meet every 2 weeks and will determine
Needs Analysis by November, 2002
- Task
Group to gather information from organizations and get input from Steering
Committee. By November, 2002, Data/Needs analyses to be completed (data
collection, updating existing needs assessment).
- Establishing
WCMP Planning website November 2002
- Task
Group and co-chairs draft plan and present it to Steering Committee by
December 2002.
- Co-chairs
meet with various campus shared governance groups, including Watsonville
Community Advisory Committee (WCAC), Instructional Council, Student Services
Managers, Business Managers Meeting, Student Senate, Faculty Senate and CPC
(College Planning Council)
- 2nd
Draft to be completed by March and reviewed by CPC and WCCAC during
March/April, 2003
- Governing
board first reading in June and Plan in place by July, 2003
