Check with a counselor
before taking a transferable math class because transfer math is
selected according to your major.
Math 4 - Pre-calculus
Math 10- Math for General Education
Math 11 - College Algebra
Math 12- Statistics
Math 13- Finite Math
Math 15 - Number Systems
Math 18 - Business Calculus
* If you have placed into transferable math and have had previous
coursework, you may be eligible to begin your math coursework at
the calculus level. Check with a counselor about this possibility.
What
you should know about math:
- You can take each math assessment test twice a semester. Once
you begin a math class, and remain in the class and receive a
"W" or letter grade, you may not reassess to advance
levels.
- Get started on your math EARLY! Because different majors may
require specific math courses, it is important that you talk with
a counselor before you register for a math class.
- At least one transferable math class is required for admissions
to a four-year college or university.
