* If you have placed into transferable math and have had previous coursework, you may be eligible to begin your math coursework at the calculus level. Check with a counselor about this possibility.

What you should know about math:

  • You can take each math assessment test twice a semester. Once you begin a math class, and remain in the class and receive a "W" or letter grade, you may not reassess to advance levels.
  • Get started on your math EARLY! Because different majors may require specific math courses, it is important that you talk with a counselor before you register for a math class.
  • At least one transferable math class is required for admissions to a four-year college or university.
