Exclusion:

A child is to be kept out of school at least three days after the onset of a cold or cough and 24 hours after the child's temperature returns to normal. If your child needs medication while in school, bring the medication and fill out a "medication release" form. If medication is required for more than three days, we must have a note from a physician. The medication must be provided in the original prescription container.

Sometimes the child starts out the day doing just fine, and then seems ill later on. Should this happen we will phone you (or your back-up person if you are not available) to pick up the child. Please come quickly, as this is probably the most contagious period of the illness-and your child is probably feeling like no one but you can be a real comfort. Do be sure we have your current class schedule, work number and the telephone numbers of your back-up people.
