Read to Lead Bookclub
It’s time to share some inspiration!
Here's How...
Each quarter we will post a book title and discussion questions on our web site.
Read the book (or listen to audio, or find the cliff notes, or don't read at all!).
Then join us on the phone for our quarterly book club discussion.
We will share our ideas about the book, and (most importantly) discuss ways to apply the concepts. You will learn from colleagues, share ideas and get inspired as a leader.
The Book...
This quarter, we will read “The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy, Not Time, is the Key to High Performance” by Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz (Available in paperback for about $10.20 at Amazon.com and other outlets).
The Meeting...
On Thursday, November 6th, 2008, 3:00 – 4:00 pm
By dialing your telephone conference line: (888) 886-3951
and entering your pass code: 296357

Description...
As I watch the Olympics every evening, I am amazed at the sheer focus and power of these world-class athletes. While I will obviously never be a great athlete, I can’t help wondering if I could harness even a fraction of that kind of power in my own life. Well, this book is key to answering this very question!
Jim Loehr has worked for decades with world-class athletes and now brings the principles of managing energy to the workplace. This book shows us how the principles that trainers use to help athletes perform their best also can be applied in everyday circumstances to help all of us perform our best and feel great! It goes far beyond physical training, but also shows us the importance of good physical health.
People tell me all the time that they are being asked to do more in the same amount of time. (Does that sound familiar?) This book gives us a whole new way to approach that conundrum. It’s a great read!
I hope to “see” you there!
Claire
