High School Information          1.12

Listed in the Catalog under “Admission of Minor Students” are the specific requirements for minor students without high school diplomas. These students are required to re-apply each semester and submit a High School Release Form each semester. This includes the summer and winter sessions. Students get the High School Release forms from their high schools.

A Counselor’s signature is required if the student is going to take more than 6 units, or if the student is less than grade level 9. There is a list of “suggested” and “not appropriate” courses for minor students that should be consulted when asked to sign a release form.

Students seeking placement into higher levle math courses (Math 5A) based on high school coursework need to meet the criteria outlined in our high school articulation agreements. These agreements also establish course equivalencies between Cabrillo and local high schools, and suggest placement into Cabrillo foreign language classes.
