Credit By Exam 1.7

Listed in the catalog are all of the requirements for a student to pursue Credit by Exam. Attached is the current list of approved courses from the office of Vice President, Instruction title "Credit by Exam".

There is a triplicate form available at Admissions and Records called "Petition for Credit by Examination". The form states "Currently registered students who have completed a minimum of 12 units at Cabrillo, and are in good standing with a grade point average of 2.0 or better, are eligible to petition for credit by examination. This petition is subject to the consideration and approval of the instructor and Division Chair."

The form requires signatures from A & R, the Instructor administering the exam, and the Division Dean. Student must pay for the course, just as in the typical registration process.
