Cabrillo offers a variety of support programs and services that serve both the general student population and, in some cases, special populations. As some of these programs serve specific populations, they may have their own admission criteria. Counselors serve as links to these various programs. As such, counselors need to know which services are provided by each and how to connect students to the programs. The following are support programs and/or services available to students:

Cabrillo Advancement Program (CAP) 479-6526 Room 801A (This program offers academic support and scholarships to selected middle and high school students.)
Fast Track to Work 479-6344 Room 803 Open: M-Th 8:30-5:00, Fri 8:30-12
(The Fast Track To Work program provides support services to students receiving CalWORKs, WIA, and Grove Scholar grants, helping them on their path to a career that pays a family-supporting wage. Fast Track's services include orientation to the college, money for child care, work study jobs, academic and personal counseling, peer support, resource and referral information, work readiness and financial literacy classes, liaison with county offices, a friendly place to relax, and a mentoring program for graduating students to help them in their new careers.) www.cabrillo.edu/services/fttw .

Job Placement 479-6225 Room 806 (On and off-campus work study, full and part-time employment opportunities await you. Assistance with resumes and interviewing skills is also available.)
Learning Resource Center Library (Services include Tutorials, Writing Center, Reading Center, Open Access Computer Lab, Math Learning Center, Early Assistance Program, Language Lab, Learning Skills Program.)
Learning Skills Program 479-6220 LRC 1073 (This department provides educational diagnostic testing for students who think they may have a learning disability. Many services are offered for students with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder.)

Student Health Services 479-6230 Bld. 900 (Health Services provides students with medical services, health counseling, and referral to community resources. Services include first aid, medical services, crisis counseling and free condoms.)
Transfer Center 479-6385 100 building (Catalogs, online resources, applications, workshops, and reps from local colleges are available at the Transfer Center.)

MESA 479-6503 Room 714 (This academic support program is designed for students who intend to transfer in math, engineering or science majors. Qualified students are those who are first generation college students and/or who meet income criteria.)
