Student inquiries regarding the GED (General Education Development) should be referred to the Santa Cruz Adult Education program. The director of the program, Nancy Mc Neil, indicates the following process:

Student must pay $66, in cash or money order (no checks).

Make an appointment for exams, 5 exams given on Thursdays and Fridays.

The writing module is given only on Thursdays at 2 p.m.

The balance of the other 4 exams are given on Fridays. These tests include math, social science, interpretation of literature and art.

November 2001 will mark the last time students can take the present exam and include results of previous attempts. Beginning January of 2002 a new test will be administered.
