Division Committees 4.5
Within the Counseling Division, there are both standing and ad hoc committees formed to handle Division business. Examples of ongoing committees include the Orientation committee, Distance Counseling Committee, Program Review. Committees are usually formed at a Division meeting by voluntary participation, and all counselors are encouraged to participate.

A counselor’s student contact time can be reassigned by the Division Chair for participation in a short-term committee formed to work on a particular project; for example, the accreditation self-study or a campus hiring committee.

Participation on campus wide standing committees that meet on a regular basis must be scheduled apart from the required student contact time specified by the CCFT contract (see CCFT Contract section 11.5.2.1).
