The Counseling Division meeting is an opportunity to obtain important information regarding academic, career and transfer counseling procedures, program developments and conferences. In addition, reports and presentations are made by Counseling Division representatives from various campus wide committees and representatives from other Cabrillo divisions and departments. Division meetings are normally held every other Thursday from 3:10 to 4:30; this time is part of the additional non-counseling hours scheduled for professional activities (see CCFT Contract Section 11.5.2.1).When a Division meeting is cancelled by the Division Chair, counselors will be notified by email and are expected to reassign this time to other Counseling Division business. Minutes are taken by the Division Assistant and distributed by email, and will be kept in a binder located in the Counseling Division office, along with copies of informational handouts distributed in the meeting. Counselors are responsible for obtaining and filing these materials when a meeting is missed.
To schedule an item of business on the Division meeting agenda, contact the Division Chair and Division assistant.
