Workshops

Placement and Planning Workshops

This 2-hour workshop includes information about guided self placement to determine your best English and math options. You’ll leave the Placement and Planning Workshop with your English and Math courses on your Education Plan using the Student Planning tool.

It is helpful to attend a Placement and Planning Workshop or complete the Guided Self Placement form prior to scheduling a counseling appointment. Select the steps based on your situation.

Ed Plan Workshops

This two-hour workshop presents important information and planning resources and is designed for new students, for those who have never taken classes in college and have never developed an Education Plan, and for those who want to learn more about putting together a solid Ed Plan. You’ll leave the Placement and Planning Workshop with an Abbreviated Education Plan using the Student Planning tool.

It is helpful to attend a Placement and Planning Workshop prior to scheduling a counseling appointment. Select the steps based on your situation.

See the Ed Plan Workshop Calendar for a full list of workshops scheduled and call either (831) 479-6274 or (831) 479-6385 to reserve a spot. Don't delay as it will impact your registration process.

Back on Track Workshops for Students on Probation or Dismissal

Did you receive communication from Admissions & Records indicating you have a hold on your record due to Probation or Dismissal? If you are on Probation Level 2 or if you are on Dismissal, you are required to attend a Back on Track Workshop.

For those on Probation Level 2, attending the Back on Track workshop will clear your hold, and will provide you with the strategies and resources needed to work your way to a better Academic Standing.

If you are on Probation Level 1, this workshop is not required but is highly recommended so you can avoid future academic standing issues.

When attending the workshop, please bring a copy of your Cabrillo unofficial transcripts which you can access in Student Planning. A copy of your transcripts will also be available for you at the workshop as well.

See the Back on Track Workshop Calendar for a full list of workshops scheduled and call either (831) 479-6274 or (831) 479-6385 to reserve a spot. Don't delay as it will impact your registration process.
