Login issues constitute the majority of Blackboard problems. Please read Blackboard troubleshooting answers below BEFORE submiting a helpdesk request. Our response time is generally less than one business day.
» First time user?
Have you activated your Blackboard account?
Go to the Blackboard login screen at http://cabrillo.blackboard.com. Click on the link in the login box, “Activate your account” You must have your student ID number to do this.
» Don’t know your student ID number?
Your Student ID can be found on your printed registration receipt. Alternatively, you can find it using WebAdvisor, by logging in and clicking "My Class Schedule". Your Student ID will be the 7-digit number next to your name.
» Are you using the correct username and password?
Be sure to use the login and password created through the Account Activation Page listed above, not your WebAdvisor account.
» Did you change your name?
Any name changes after you first registered will result in a new account name. Go to the Account Activation Page and reactivate your account. Log into Blackboard with your new account name.
» Did you register late for the course?
If you registered late, the course may not show up in the list on your MyBlackboard screen. Please allow 1 business day after registration for the course to appear in Blackboard.
» Does your course use Blackboard?
Not all courses at Cabrillo use Blackboard. To find out if a distance learning course you're taking uses Blackboard, go to the Distance Education website.
» Still having problems logging in?
Go to the Account Activation Page and create a new password. Try logging into Blackboard again.
