Stained Glass Boot Camp! stained glass

This class is for the student who wants to jump in and make something involved. You will need to choose your project and materials ahead of time. All kinds of styles are welcome from Florals to Mission. Learn how to set up your pattern and choose appropriate amounts of glass. We would like for you to do this prep work ahead of time so you can use your weekend making the project. Stained Glass takes more time than people usually imagine. You will work hard and make a stained glass panel in the 14 x 20 inch range. Projects can be a little larger or smaller. There are lots of patterns available or you can propose your own design ahead of time. If you design your own, design details would have to be worked out before class time. The project needs to be cuttable and completable in the time frame allowed.

Tools and supplies will be available. If you have your own tools you are welcome to bring them. Tool kits are available.

You will bring two copies of your pattern all numbered and all the glass you will need.

Materials fee will be assessed per project for foil, solder, zinc or lead as well as chemicals. Depending on which project you chose the cost will run between $40-$60 per project.
