Emily Solick

Social Work Intern

My name is Emily Solick. I am currently studying for my Master's in Social Work at San Jose State University and have one more semester to go. I am a former Cabrillo College student as well. I have two boys, ages seven and three. My children are bicultural and bilingual as their father is from Costa Rica. I have travelled a lot to other countries, especially in Latin America, and I am bilingual in Spanish also. I work as a counselor for parents at a non-profit agency in Santa Cruz. At the agency we also have a 24-hour Parental Stress Hotline, which I also work on.
 
This year I am interning at Cabrillo College, both at the Fast Track To Work office and at the Children's Center. I am available for individual and family counseling for a variety of mental health and general issues and support. This could be on an on-going basis, just one appointment, or as-needed. I look forward to meeting with you.
