WIA Career Scholarships
Workers Investment Act (WIA) of Santa Cruz County is currently recruiting students interested in pursuing a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway in labor market demand. This scholarship opportunity may award students up to $6,000, varying amounts depending on individual program costs. WIA funds CTE certificates for one year and most allied health programs for two years. Students are assisted with books, transportation, class fees, vouchers, and more. The program's success is measured by student success: in job acquisition, their ability to stay employed, and in the increase of an individual’s income.
Please come by the Fast Track Office (room 802) to sign up for a new streamlined version of the WIA orientation for quicker access to this amazing scholarship opportunity. You will need to complete a pre packet that will allow you entry at the orientation. Students cannot be concurrently enrolled in Fast Track programs (Cal Success, CalWorks, and WIA). If you have any questions, please call Noemi Gonzalez or Brianne Riggins at 479-5707. Thank you and good luck!
