2. Art: Participate in Chalk-It-Up, a sidewalk chalk mural event to raise awareness of these issues in our Cabrillo Community.

3. Graphic Arts-Digital Media: Critique sites dealing with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. How user friendly are they? Are the graphics/design well done and appropriate to the content? Are they easy to find? Do they provide appropriate referrals and useful information? Are the links active?

4. Public Safety and Criminology: Have a class discussion of the issue of sexual assault in the incarcerated population. Explore your own feelings about how you will deal with perpetrators of domestic violence, rape and child abuse.

5. English: Discuss the long term effects of child abuse as portrayed in popular films and literature. Examples: Lolita, Monster, The Woodsman, The Burning Bed, Sleeping with the Enemy.

6. Health: What are the effects of abuse on such issues as body image, eating disorders, and personal caretaking?

7. Human Services: Study the correlation between substance use and sexual violence. Examine the services, hours, resources and education available in our community for responding to these issues.

8. Statistics: Examine long tern data on outcomes for survivors of childhood sexual abuse? Do these numbers predict anything for the future?

9. Nursing and Allied Health: Discuss the reporting requirements for professionals with regard to sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse and domestic violence.

10. Creative Writing: Write a personal reflection on the topic of domestic violence.

11. Theatre Arts/Dance: Incorporate the issue of sexual assault into a improvised performance and ask for class responses to the theme.

12. Journalism: Cover the Chalk It Up event, including information on what motivated participants to take part in the event.

13. Psychology: Discuss contemporary theories on the causes of sexual violence, especially intimate partner violence (date rape, domestic violence, spousal abuse.)

14. Political Science: Explore the history of legislation related to sexual assault and child abuse (i.e. when was spousal rape first made a crime, what changes have been made to statutory rape laws and what prompted these changes?) How is the United States different from other countries in these issues.
