Cabrillo Educational Options:

 

Certificates:

Cabrillo offers certificates in many technical and vocational fields.

Certificates of Proficiency require a minimum of 30 semester units including an English course.

Skills Certificates and Certificates of Specialization require up to 24 units.

 

Associate in Science:

The majority of Cabrillo's Associate in Science degrees are in vocational programs. They are not generally appropriate for students wantin got transfer to a 4-year university as they do not meet the admission requirements.

 

Associate in Arts:

Cabrillo offers three different Associate in Arts degrees:

AA (non-transfer) degree

CSU General Education AA

IGETC General Education AA

 

Transfer:

Cabrillo College offers the first two years of university work required for a Bachelor's degree (4-year college degree). It is important to choose the right general education pattern and do the lower division coursework required for your major.

Business careers include a wide variety of occupations and professions from entry level clerical and secretarial jobs to the highest level administrative and managerial positions. Many careers are available in the areas of accounting, business administration, finance, real estate, insurance, sales, and merchandising. Some of these jobs involve making decisions and supervising the activities of employees, while other jobs provide support services and assistance to executives, administrators and managers. Careers exist in large, medium and small companies. Small business entrepreneurs need employees with a wide range of business skills, financial assets and business experience, and a willingness to work long hours.
