Cabrillo Educational Options:

Certificates:

Cabrillo offers certificates in many technical and vocational fields.

Certificates of Proficiency a require a minimum of 30 semester units including an English course.

Skills Certificates and Certificates of Specialization require up to 24 units.

 

Associates in Science:

The majority of Cabrillo's Associate in Science degrees are in vocational programs. They are not generally appropriate for students wanting to transfer to a 4-year university as they do not meet the admission requirements.

Associate in Arts:

Cabrillo offers three different Associate in Arts degrees.

 

AA (non-transfer) degree

CSU General Education AA

IGETC General Education AA

 

Transfer:

Cabrillo College offers the first two years of university work required for a Bachelor's degree (4-year college degree). It is important to choose the right general education pattern and do the lower division coursework required for your major.

People who work in engineering and industrial technology careers are interested in design, construction and/or repair. Areas of application can be: airplanes, roads, electrical power systems, automobiles, computers, harbors, homes, steel mills, trains, sewage treatment systems, dams, tunnels, industrial machinery.
