3 Ways to Enroll
What do I need to do?
- Apply for admission on a special green application form (available at local high schools).
- Take an assessment test by early May (see school dates below).
- Attend an orientation, either at your school, at Cabrillo prior to the Running Start date, or at Running Start.
- Register at the Aptos campus on May 16 between 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. (Please allow 2 hours for this event)
You must have taken the assessment by early May to be eligible for Priority Registration at Running Start. Special assessment dates have been arranged. Please check with your school counselor for assessment location.

To take the assessment:
- bring picture ID
- bring the completed green Application form for Admission to Cabrillo
To register at Running Start:
- allow for 2 hours at the Aptos campus, and arrive no later than 1 P.M.
- LOCATION - Cabrillo College Quad - meet at the flagpole by the Theatre (Bldg. 200)
- pick up your assessment results if you have not yet received your scores
- join an orientation with a counselor if you did not previously attend an orientation at your school or at Cabrillo
- get additional help from Cabrillo staff, Counselors and student assistants
- complete your registration during Running Start
Students who complete our survey at Running Start will be entered into a raffle for an Apple iPod Touch.
NOTE: If you cannot come to Running Start but have taken the assessment test, check the Assessment Schedule to attend the next possible orientation. Let the Assessment staff know that you are a "Running Start" student, and they will send your placement scores to the counselor conducting the orientation.
