Instruction Note 9/02/03
Bus Riders
Thanks to the hard work of Manuel Osorio, Pegi Ard, and Doug Deaver, the College
and the Transit District have reached an agreement regarding our employee bus
passes. You may obtain your bus pass stickers at the College Bank. The College
Bank hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:15 p.m.
to 3:30 p.m. The stickers must be affixed to the front of your Cabrillo College
Staff I.D. Card. If you need an I.D. card, please have your photo taken at the
Campus Sheriff's Office and then take the photo to Human Resources where your
card will be processed.
News from Fast Track to Work
FTTW's new Mentoring Project is off to a good start, with 13 June graduates
matched up with mentors from the community. More students will be assigned mentors
next semester. The goal is to get graduates into jobs faster and increase their
job retention and wage advancement when compared with graduates without mentors.
The project is made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Santa
Cruz County.
Coop Work Experience
That office asked me to announce there will be no late adds for Cooperative
Work Experience Education students. They will be unable to add once the open
enrollment period has closed. All students interested in taking Work Experience
classes must attend one of the five scheduled Orientation Sessions listed in
the Schedule of Classes and register by September 13th.
Evening Administration
Administrators will be on duty from 5 to 9 PM Mondays through Thursdays and
available at 809-0363. Should you need to contact a Sheriff's Deputy, you may
do so by calling 212-8464.
Special Studies Forms
The College is working on getting these forms and the instructions on line.
However, at this point there is not a direct link to these forms and there doesn't
seem to be a supply of the forms on campus. I am attaching both of these documents
to the Instruction Notes. Also, they are both available on the T drive in the
Special Studies folder.
